How does a student log in to the myIIT portal?
Visit http://my.iit.edu and log in using your UID and password. If you have logged into IIT email and changed your email password, use your new email password to log in to myIIT.
If you have not changed your initial IIT email password, log in with the initial password: 2-digit month and day you were born (MMDD) and the last 4 digits of your CWID (XXXX).
What is a Unified ID (UID)?
As an IIT student this ID or username (sometimes referred to as login) provides you with access to the university's technology services including the myIIT portal, computer labs and the IIT network. Your UID is automatically generated when you are accepted to IIT.
A UID is comprised of the first letter of your first name and up to seven letters of your last name. For example, Jane Doe could have a UID of jdoe. To look up your UID visit
http://myuid.iit.edu.
What is a CWID?
A Campus-wide ID (CWID) is an 8-digit personal identifier used in place of your social security number. Look up your CWID in Web for Students through the myIIT portal or refer to your student ID card.
What is my IIT email address?
The format for IIT student email addresses is UID followed by @iit.edu (for example jdoe234@iit.edu). Your IIT email can be accessed online through the myIIT portal or a desktop client such as Microsoft Outlook.
